Lenovo to launch affordable 4G-capable K3 Note in India this month

Earlier this year, Lenovo launched an affordable 4G-capable phablet in China called the K3 Note. Now, we has learnt that the company plans on launching the phablet in India later this month.
Lenovo already boasts a lineup of affordable 4G smartphones that includes the A6000 Plus, A7000, and the S60. While the company hasn’t revealed the pricing, the phablet is likely to be placed in the sub-Rs 10,000 segment considering its price in China — 899 Yuan (Rs 9,000 approximately).
As far as the specifications are concerned, the K3 Note flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6572 octa-core 64-bit processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It offers 16GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.
On the photography front, the K3 Note 13-megapixel snapper at the back with LED flash, supplemented by a 5-megapixel selfie camera up front. The phablet also features a 3,000mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G support on both SIMs, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. On the software front, the phablet runs on Android Lollipop out-of-the-box.
If Lenovo does launch the K3 Note in the sub-Rs 10,000 segment, it will be the most affordable smartphone in India to boast a full HD display. In the process it will also take the crown away from the Xiaomi Mi 4i, which currently is the cheapest smartphone with a full HD display. With these specifications, the Lenovo K3 Note will face competition from the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, and the Yu Yureka to name a few.
